About Us

Taylor Rental Party Plus was founded in 1968 by Mildred and Howard Beaupre. The company started out with a small inventory of general equipment rental and some basic party rental. In 1975, their daughter Barbara and her husband John Wilper made the cross country move from California, with their young children in tow, to help run the family business.

Over the years Taylor Rental Party Plus continued to grow and expand. In April of 1988 they moved from a small store front on Center Street to a larger warehouse space on Broad Street. With a new space and fully displayed showroom the company was able to further develop their event and party rentals, growing to serve central and eastern Connecticut and even southern Massachusetts.

In 2001 John and Barbara’s son, John Wilper took over duties as General Manager, and their daughter Leslie became Distribution Manger and Director of Charitable Organizations. Taylor Rental Party Plus is now a forth generation family business, with all three of John’s sons involved in various departments. We expanded further in 2006, opening a second store on Oakwood Avenue in West Hartford.

As a family business, we take pride in our work, striving to ensure a flawless event from start to finish. Our unique history has made us equipped to handle any event. Our goal is, and always has been, to provide superior customer service and delivery quality products.
